Anfield & Breckfield New Beginnings Partnership is a local service working with people aged 50 plus in the area. It aims to offer practical support, advice and information to enable people to continue living independently in their own homes. It promotes healthy and active ageing through a range of events and activities.
Handyperson service - cost of materials only
Need assistance with minor repairs around the home? We will carry out all those small jobs that will help you to live more safely or comfortably in your own home. This includes attending to leaks, fixing door handles and grab rails, small decorating and gardening jobs, fitting locks, bolts and light bulbs etc.
The housing support service
Can offer help and support to stay in your own home, provide information and advice about possible sources of funding which may help you to improve, repair or adapt you home. They also offer information, advice and support services to older people living in poor or unsuitable housing who wish to consider alternative housing options.
Are you missing out on benefits?
If you are 50+ you can get FREE and confidential advice on benefits, paying bills, appeals etc. Plus support on completing application forms, organising home shopping and getting out and about. This service is delivered by our HABIT (Health Advice Benefits Initiative Team) officer, supported by Age Concern.
Property services trades person register
This service maintains the trade's person register to provide vetted reputable contractors for all aspects of repairs or maintenance. The Property Service Officer can diagnose building defects and produce specifications of remedial action with specialist knowledge of adapting homes for disabled people.
