Stay Active Stay Healthy (S.A.S.H)
Stay Active Stay Healthy (SASH) is an innovative project devised in partnership with Liverpool Housing Action Trust (LHAT), the Central Liverpool Primary Care Trust, Age Concern and The Big Lottery Fund.
The aim of the project is to stimulate healthy living activities within the local area and raise awareness of the importance of keeping active and keeping healthy for the over 50's.
Activities provided so far by SASH have included:
- Tai Chi
- Chair based exercise
- Arts and Crafts
- Healthy Eating classes
- Computer classes
- Complimentary therapies
- Expert Patient Course
- Smoking Cessation (including Acupuncture)
Activities are carried within local communities on these sites:
- Abbeyview Community Centre, Jackson Pond Drive, Childwall
- Adlington & Bispham House community Room, 25 Bispham House
- Altbridge Park Community Centre, East Lancashire Estate, Croxteth
- Brookside House, Ash Grange, Brookside Avenue, Knotty Ash
- Buckingham House Community Room, Sefton Park
- Heathergreen Court, Stanley Park Avenue North, Walton
- Hetherlow Community Centre, Walton
- Langholme Heights Community Centre, East Lancashire Estate, Croxteth
- Linksview Community Centre, Vale Road, Woolton
- Olive Mount Community Centre, Olive Mount Road, Wavertree
- Penlinken Community Centre, Penlinken Drive, Sheil Park
- Porchfield Community Centre, Storrington Avenue, Croxteth
- The Clock Community Centre, St. Domingo Road, Everton
